Een crematorium in Bleiswijk waarin de beleving van bezoekers en nabestaanden centraal staat, met oog voor een goede landschappelijke en stedenbouwkundige inpassing. Door zorgvuldig licht en uitzicht toe te voegen of weg te laten, en door te variëren in materialen en in de richting van de houten spanten, wordt de bezoeker door het gebouw en het rouwproces geleid. De familie krijgt een eigen, beschermde route; andere bezoekers worden op een natuurlijke manier door het gebouw geleid. De draagconstructie is volledig losmaakbaar en remontabel, net als de binnen- en buitenafwerking.

Crematorium (English)
A crematorium in Bleiswijk that puts the experience of visitors and relatives first, with care for how it fits into the landscape and the town. By adding or withholding light and views, and by varying the materials and the direction of the timber frames, visitors are guided through the building and through the process of mourning. The family has its own sheltered route; other visitors are led through the building naturally. The structure is fully demountable and reusable, as are the interior and exterior finishes.
